so, Overlord Season 1 is over...

finished on episode 13, covering volumes 1-3 of the novel...

even the Bloody Valkyrie can't believe it...

a CD filled with fairly recent anime OP-ED themes...

buy it here...

Gate: The JSDF Fought Here Season 1...

just saw episode 12 of the anime, which ends the first series of story arcs from the novel/manga. i haven't read the novel, but i'm familiar with the manga and the tone of the anime is far more family-friendly with all of the sexual innuendo cut out and sensual designs toned down...

Yao's design is less overt than in the manga, which was part dominatrix...

unexpected: a cyborg vs a human-possessed demon...

two classic anime IPs from the late 60's-early 70's...

Cyborg 009 vs Devilman..

the power of Ainz Oowl Gown...

Overlord episode 4 features the main character to the best of his abilities so far...

well, he seems better than Skeletor...

discovered a new anime: Overlord...

in the future, a virtual reality MMO, Yggdrasil is on its last hours of being online, a player character Momonga, decides to wait out the shut-down and decides not to log off. as midnight passes, he is surprised that his guild's world has not started to disappear, all the game functions no longer work and he cannot log off...

for once, a protagonist that isn't handsome...

like Stargate, but with biting reality...

came across this anime that looks like military propaganda: Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri, which is based on a series of light novels of the same name, is about a JSDF reservist who leads a team of JSDF soldiers through a portal that appears in the middle of Tokyo and recon a medieval, fantasy world...

it wouldn't be anime without a J-Pop Opening theme...

a Rider on my shelf...

from the anime Fate/Stay Night is the ill-fated servant of the Rider class...

lots of fetishes...
